The Bachmann HO Scale Silver Series 3 Dome Tank Car Phillips 66 models a standard railroad industry three dome tank car. Tank cars have been common on North American railroads since the 19th Century, and are very common on railroads to this day. Products as diverse as kerosene, chemicals, vegetable oil, petroleum, liquid petroleum gas, and many others have all been hauled in railroad tank cars. This product is part of Bachmann's Silver Series product line.
Phillips 66 Petroleum: Founded in 1917 by the Phillips brothers in Bartlesville, OK, Phillips Petroleum grew into a huge American oil company. In 2002 it merged with Conoco to create ConocoPhillips, which has since been split back in two. The "66" is a reference to the Mother Road- US Highway 66 that traversed the company's native Oklahoma.
